Without a paddle is story about a 1,200 mile adventure race to paddle around Florida. The race happens most years and starts and ends in Tampa. The author is a reporter and has an easy to read style that keeps the plot moving forward, and the reader engaged. I will note however, that he seems overly afraid of the wildlife. I didn't see any pythons, sharks or alligators on my journey around Florida, maybe it was his mind playing tricks on him. He did the journey in just over 19 days and was often sleep deprived...
