Janes Island State Park is a fantastic place to paddle and go camping. You should buy the map available in the park office - it's a useful navigation aid, but not enough for the interior of the island can be especially confusing.
Campsites in the park are pleasant and clean, and you will have beautiful view is of the Chesapeake Bay and beaches. beaches and beautiful views.
The campsites have wooden tent platforms, a nice touch is that once a platform is rented, the park does not rent the others - you will have the campsite to yourself. Even though there are many people it seems you can always find some solitude.
The paddle-in campsites lack drinking water, so plan accordingly.
