Marine Grade Stainless Steel Snap Link 4"

When kayaking in rough weather and wide crossings, I use a snap link to physically tie myself to the kayak. This way, if I can't roll back up, I won't be in danger of losing the kayak. However, I always ensure that I am unclipped when going in for a landing.

I think it is better to get one with the pressed insert at the small end to capture the line the snap link is on instead of letting it float around inside the link where the lines can bind on each other.
