Cohasset Harbor's public boat ramp is an ideal launch spot for exploration of Cohasset Harbor and the surrounding coastline.
Surrounding the harbor are a number of majestic homes belonging to Boston's well-heeled residents. From the harbor, you can plot a scenic trip along Strawberry Point and (conditions permitting) out to Minot's Light.
Looking for a bit more challenge? Head northeast to Little Harbor and play in the currents and tide races. Continue past Little Harbor and on up to Nantasket Beach for some gorgeous south shore scenery.
Note: Parking at the boat ramp is restricted to residents only in the summer (although you can pull in to load/unload). Park on Border St. between the Cohasset Lobster Pound and the Olde Salt House restaurant after unloading your boat near the flagpole. There's a short path to the water just behind the flagpole at the western end of the lot that makes for a nice kayak launch. Restrooms are open from late spring to early autumn.
